Developers of coal-gasification plant buy land

November 10, 2008 – TAYLORVILLE -- Developers of a proposed coal-gasification plant northeast of Taylorville today completed the purchase of 164 acres, or about half the land that will be needed for the estimated $2.1 billion project.

Executives at Tensaka Inc. previously confirmed plans to purchase property for the Taylorville Energy Center, and company executives said today they expect to complete the purchase of another 165-acre tract in early December.
